Yi Organized a Session on Family Managed Business at Siliguri

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri. 27th December, 2018: Young Indians, Siliguri chapter organized a session on Family Managed Business on 23rd December, 2018 at Hotel Lemon Tree. Professor Samish Dalal from S P Jain School of Global Management which has campuses in Singapore, Dubai, Sydney & Mumbai, was invited to talk to the youth of Siliguri about the importance and challenges of family run businesses. Prof. Dalal gave the mantra of a successful family managed business. He said that we can get full benefits of our business only if we indulge in it on an emotional level. Connecting with ones business and creating a synergy between the two will help the business grow. He also talked about examples and how traditional and small scale family businesses transformed themselves and became big and professionally managed businesses. Prof. Samish Dalal is an MBA graduate from University of Queensland, Australia and has had his professional training from the elite Harvard Business School and Wharton Business School both based in USA. He has provided business solutions to more than 1000 business families in India and is an expert in the area of Family Managed Business Solutions. The session was an eye opener for the audience and has inspired the younger generation to take the necessary steps to grow and transform their family businesses. Young Indians has in the past few years, held three more events on Family Managed Business with support from Prof. Parimal Merchant from S P Jain School of Global Management, whose programs rank amongst the top 10 in the world. Young Indians aims to bring knowledge based sessions and interactions to its members and to the youth in and around Siliguri. Yi conducts more than 20 knowledge based events every year in Siliguri. Yi regularly invites industry leaders, professors from top business schools and other personalities who talk about the latest in business development, startups, leadership and management. Yi also conducts exclusively for its members CEO talks, and interactions with government officials, so that they can get a perspective about various fields and learn from experiences.
